Frank Howe HunterPalms, white gladioli and white roses decorated the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Luther Armstrong at Douglas Lake, Ingle-side, Michigan, on August 24, when their daughter, Miss Monica Blackwood Armstrong, became the bride of Lt. Frank Howe Hunter, XT. S. N. R., son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Howe Hunter, of El Paso, Texas, The two o’clock cerepiony was performed by the Reverend Doctor John H. Gardener, Jr., of Baltimore, Maryland, in the presence of the immediate families andclose friends.The bride, given in marriage byher father, was lovely in a gown of white slipper satin fashioned with a fitted bodice and a deep yoke of Chantilly lace. The bouffant skirt was gathered to a low waist line and extended into a long train. Her veil of french tulle fell from a juliet cap of Chantilly lace trimmed with clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses centered with white orchids.Miss Sarah Armstrong was her sister's maid of honor. She wore an aqua chiffon dress styled with a sweetheart neck line, three-quarter length sleeves and a floor length skirt. Bockoven, Jr., oi Chicago, 111., was best man foi his brother-in-law.Immediately following the cere mony, a reception was held at tht Armstrong home. Later, thlt; couple left for a wedding trip tc Mackinac Island and from thento New York City, where Lt Hunter will be stationed. Foi traveling Mrs. Hunter chose a twc piece maroon suit trimmed ir matching grograin ribbon, alii gator shoes and bag and a flowei hat.Besides the immediate families out of town guests at the wed' ding included Lt. John Bockover and Mrs. Bockoven, of Chicago 111., and Mrs. W. W. Jennings, Jr. of Charleston, West Virginia.Mrs. Hunter received her bachelor of arts degree from Wheator College, Norton, Massachusetts and prior to her marriage waf mail order executive at the R. H Macy Company in New York City and later personnel executive wit! the Bell Telephone Laboratories ir New York.Lt. Hunter was graduated froir the University of Texas Lav School, Austin, Texas. He recentl} returned from twenty months active duty in the Pacific theatre and following his leave will be stationed in New York City.
