Josiah J-amb, aged SO years, or more and Mrs. Jane Lamb, widow of Clark Lamb aged near r»o years were married at the Third Presbyterian Church on Thursday last. They are oid residents, good people and are not too old to marry. No one objects to the Lambs lying down together.The friends of Jacob Iforming gave him a surprise on Saturday last, and celebrated his 41st birthday. The silver band serenaded him and the Msennerchor was also on hand and all enjoyed a splendid supper spread by the estimable wife of Mr. Hornung.| The Bedford Star, of Saturday says: Vance Day, son of J. S. Day, New Albany, was in town Wednesday and called on us. He is a bright, intelligent young gentleman, is a good talker, and possesses bis father's natural sociability that has made him so popular throughout the State.Mr. Theo. S. Main, formerly of this city, was elected principal school officer at North Stonington, Conn., a few days ago—an important office, from the manner in which the Narragansett Weekly speaks of it.
