Josiah Lamb, aged SO years, or more and Mrs. Jane Lamb, widow of Clark Lamb aged near 50 years were married at the Third Presbyterian Church on Thursday last. They are oid residents, good people and are not too old to marry. No one objects to the Lambs lying down together.The friends of Jacob 11 or mi ng gave him a surprise on Saturday last, and celebrated bis 41st birthday. The silver band serenaded him and the Mamnerchor was also on handand all enjoyed a splendid supper spread by the estimable wife of Mr. Hornung.| The Bedford Star, of Saturday says: Vance Day, son of J. S. Day, New Albany, was in town Wednesday and called on us. He is a bright, intelligent young gentleman, is a good talker, and possesses his father’s natural sociability that has made him so popular throughout the State.
