45 years ago, Aug. 25, 1966 A six-day TB clinic for Rivers and RM of Daly residents saw 1,334 people tested; 683 were tested for diabetes; at Rivers base, 450 people were tested for TB and 73 for diabetes. Rivers Comets lost to Brandon in the provincial junior playoffs on Thursday; they are now competing in divisional play against Melita and have won the first of three games. Gaylene Archibald has received the Brandon College Entrance Scholarship ($375) for having the highest average in all of Rolling River School Division; she graduated from Rivers last June and is enrolled in science at the college. Gwen Madden married Lawrence Melinchuck on Aug. 12
