On Saturday, August 15th, 1987 at 3:30 p.m., the wedding of Geoffrey Born and Karen Gill took place at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Charleswood. Geoffrey is the son of Carole and Ernie Born. Those attending from Cypress River were Dorothy Nordal; Darwin, Diane,Krista and Regan Richmond; Bruce, Lenore, Kevin and Candice Berry; Barry, Debbie, Stephanie. Vanessa and Tiffany Nordal and Yvonne Anderson of Winnipeg. Krista Richmond was the soloist. They were all invited to Yvonne’s for coffee before the reception anddance at the Scandinavian Centre.Carole Born of Winnipeg and her daughter Shauna from Vancouver, B.C., were overnight visitors at Dorothy Nordal’s.
