Dixon weds Duwe August 7Pastor Duane Linderg performed a double ring ceremony August 7 at 2:00 as Lois Joy Dixon. West Union, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schnor. West Union, became the bride of John Duwe. Jr.. Fayette, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Duwe. Sr.. Fayette at the Zion Lutheran Church in West Union.The church was decorated with two carnation flower arrangements. Janice Hagalie. Wadena played the organ while Mrs. Franklin Reyner. Jr.. West Union, sang ,,0 Perfect Love and Wedding Prayer.The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The veil was made by Mrs. Don Lee and her train was made by Mrs. Iona Schnor.Matron of Honor was Mrs. Richard Schnor, West Union, sister-in-law of the bride and bridesmaids were Sharon Schnor, Oelwein, sister-in-law of the bride, Ruth Opperman, Hawkeye and Alberta Miller, Waterloo, both sisters of the bride, and Sharon Paustian, sister of the groom, Bettendorf. Mary Opperman, niece of the bride was flower girl. The attendants wore turquoise dresses and carried one turquoise carnation.Best man was Richard Schnor, West Union, brother of the bride and attendants were Virgil Schnor, Oelwein. brother of the bride. Gene Opperman, Hawkeye and Marvin Miller, Waterloo, both brother-in-laws of the bride, and DallasMr. and Mrs. John Duwe, Jr.Paustian, Bettendorf, brother-in-law of the groom. Richard Dixon, son of the bride, was ringbearer. Ushers were Lester Hope, West Union, uncle of the groom and Mark Schnor, Oelwein, nephew of the bride.After the wedding, a luncheon reception was held at the Zion Lutheran Church for 200 guests and was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Don King, Oelwein.Waitresses were Nancy Opperman, Hawkeye, Chris Kohlmeyer, Oelwein, Colleen Kohlmeyer, Oelwein. and Linda Hope. West Union.The bride is a graduate of North High and the groom is a graduate of Fayette High School and is employed by John Deere’s.After a wedding trip to Duluth, Minnesota, the couple will be at home in Westgate.
