Houston bridePilkington-Dittlinger Rites Held August 14Miss Janeen Dittlinger and David Lew Pilkington, both of Houston, were married August 14 at 6 p.m. at the Willow Meadows Baptist Church in Houston.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris R. Ditt-linger, 13719 Butterfly, Houston, former residents of Robstown.The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Lew Pilking-ton, 1874 East 75 South, Bountiful, Utah.Votive candles and a trellis of greenery formed the background for the ceremony which was a double ring ritual.Miss Linda Dittlinger w'as maid of honor and Mrs. Gary R. Christman was matron of honor.Bridesmaids were Miss Janet Pilkington of Bountiful, Utah; Mms. Otto Morris Jr., Dallas; David Griffith, Huntsville; Leslie E. Blaize Jr., Houston; Miss Maria Elena Rodriguez, Houston.Beijt.man was .Vaa Pilkington of Bountiful, Utah.David White was ringbearer.Groomsmen were Dr. Gary R. Christman, Bill Moore, George Moore, Mark Rogers,- Dick Shimaitis, Leslie Blaize Ji;., all of Houston; and Mike Stewart.For her attendnts the bride selected gowns of pink persimmon printed voille. They were fashioned with a portrait decol-letage and long full sheer sleeves that closed at the wrist with a small bow. From the high rise 1 * .....HOM EireezeFREEZERwaist encircled by a band of green velvet ribbon, soft gathers of the skirt gently fell to instep length. Matching parasols trimmed with a ruffle completed their attire.THE BRIDE was given in marriage by her father.For her wedding the bride chose a designer gown of magnolia white silk organza and guipure lace. Motifs of the lace enhanced the fitted bodice and sabrina neckline. Tiny cluster tucks of organza and motifs of lace accented the full bishop sleeves ending at the wrist in a wide lace cuff. From Empire, double tiers of pure silk organza formed the graceful skirt worn slipper length. Marking the back of the gown a row of tiny French buttons ending in gathers added fullness to the court length train bordered with lace motifs.She wore apicturehat,created especially for the bride, w-ith an overlay of white silk organza encircled with a band of pale pink velvet ribbon completedher attire.Her bouquet was a basket of spring flowers.The mother of the bride w'ore a floral print floor length dress and carried a yellow daisy nosegay. The bridegroom’s mother chose a brown yellow and purple chiffon floor length dress and carried a nosegay of yellowdaisies.held at the trio playedA reception was Warwick Hotel. A background music.Included in the houseparty were Mms. Bill Moore, Houston, Jim Elliff, Kingsville;Misses Lisa Black, Houston, Ruth Lane, Baton Rouge, L.a., and Barbie Frazier, Robstown.For traveling the bride wore black and white flowered hot pants with matching sleeveless floor length coat.
