Her hus-and was deputy customs collector, inder General Aanson Mills in the} 70’s, iThe Salt War of 1877 was one of he upheavals which she often re ated to her grandchildren.s D ii The Aranda home where Mrs. [Aranda was born is still standing j near the Palace of the Governors [and the historic plaza. American [ army officers stationed at the Pre-j sidio often dined there. They at-f tended the dances given by the ' local families.i “We were a friendly, sociable community, Mrs. Aranda, told her grandson, Chief Deputy County Clerk Christ Aranda Jr.Funeral services will be held to-morrow or Saturday in the old ‘ mission. Burial will be in the family plot in San Elizario.Mrs. Aranda is survived by. three sons, three daughters, 33 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.Her children are: Leo Aranda of San Elizario; A. D. Arenda of El Paso; Maximo Aranda, Mmes. |Adela A. Garcia, Alejandra A. [Berm and Maria A. Berru, all of Los Angeles. f
