tthm-ri-SONS' PROTESTS VETOEDWichita Woman, 59, Marries Again Despite Family Objections.Wichita, Aug. 2(5 '/P)—Despite the objections of her three aora—objec-iituts which becume sm vigorous police were called into the case-—Mrs, Meusey Watson Pemberton, 59, and Ira D. Pemberton, 58, were honeymooning somewhere in Wichita to-dny.Ira J. Marriage, Mend of the couple, said today they were married Saturday night at 10:30 o'clock, a short time after police arrived to investigate the disturbance created by the three sons in their objections i- at ftls home.Marriage declined to say where tho bride and groom were honeymooning or to give any of the details of tho trouble. He said Mrs. Watson’s sons, Joe, Lindley and Everett, objected to their mother marrying Pemberton because of some financial arrangement.”Tho three sons called at Die Marriage home Saturday afternoon and were denied admittance to attempt to dissuade their mother from the wedding plaas. Their determination to see her, however, brought police into the case to investigate a disturbance at the home.Tile sons were pacified, temporarily at least, after the officers csk-ed them and Pemberton to talk the matter over at headquarters.Police saicl Femoeiton promised to delay the wedding a day or two The officers refused to take any Jurisdiction in the mutter, however, saying that if the couple wanted to get married that’s their business,' Mrs. Pemberton’s first husband. Frank Watson, was killed about three years ngo In it automobile accident. He owned and operated a large farm and kepi a stable of riding horses near Belle Platnc.
