1The Golden Wedding.As noted in the last issue of the News the Golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Lawrence was celebrated at their home in this city on Wednesday of last week and the happy occasioa was indeed a memorable one in the lives of these estimable old people. No* thing was left undone to make the affair a most pleasant and enjoyable event. The following guests were present and assisted with the festivities of the day: Mrs. Bunnell. Mrs. Reiser, Henry Booth, Mrs. Anna Roth and daughter Hazel, Mr. aud Mrs. Abija Lawrence of Westville, Mrs. Harry Feece and children, Oliver, Dorothy and Lyle of So. Bend, Mrs. Rhoda E. Spoor and children William and Irene of neer Aldine, Miss Ugena Lawrence, Master Frank, Edward and Louis of No. Judson.A bountiful dinner was served at high noon after which ice cream and cake were in order. The house were beautifully decorated with golden rods and golden gloriosa The aged couple received many handsome and substantial presents, among them being $2.50 in gold and a beautiful cut glass berry set. In the aftet noon .v'i r. Booth entertained the guests with a grapho-phone.
