Cumberland Times-NewsDawson,ShoemakerweddingHYNDMAN, Fa. — Shana Lynn Shoemaker and Adam Lee Dawson were united in marriage on June 21, 2002, at the Bible Gospel Church of Hyndman, Pa. The Rev. Roger Huffman, of Kennells Mill, Pa., officiated.The bride is the daughter of Shannon Shoemaker, Hyndman, and Kim Shoemaker, Cumberland, Md. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn and Leroy Kennell, Hyndman, and Murial Shoemaker and the late Paul Shoemaker, formerly of Hyndman.The groom is the son of Steven and Jennifer Dawson, Wellersburg. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Eleanor Kuhn, Buffalo Mills, and Mildred Dawson, Cumberland, and the late Albert Dawson, also of Cumberland.The bride was given in marriage and escorted to the altar by her father.Serving as maid of honor was Kara Hosselrode, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Becky Shroyer and Michelle Hershiser, friends of the bride and groom, and Leah Dawson, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Danielle Hershiser.Serving as best man was Paul Kennell, friend of the bride and groom. Groomsmen were Jason Baughman, Todd Wolfe and Shawn Logsdon, friends of the bride and groom.The guest book attendants were Tori Sheldon, cousin of the bride, and Heather Shoemaker, sister of the bride. The organist was Angie Nuna-maker, friend of the bride andDAWSONShana and Adamgroom. The videographers were Seth Dawson, brother of the groom, and Dustin Shoemaker, brother of the bride. Photographers were T. K. Kennell and Janine Schirf. Floral arrangements were crafted by Linda Kennell.A w'hite stretch limousine, provided as a gift from the bride’s father, escorted the bride and groom to the reception at the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Hall, Ellerslie, Md. The buffet dinner was provided by the parents of the groom. The three-tier wedding cake was baked and decorated by Bonnie Goebel, Mount Savage, Md. Music was provided by disc jockey Josh EmerickHyndman.The couple honeymooned at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.The bride is a 2001 graduate of Hyndman High School and is employed in health care at Spectrum Support Services, Cresaptown. Md.The groom is a 1999 graduate of Meyersdale High School and Somerset Vocational School. He is employed at DD Masonry, Meyersdale.Shana and Adam would like to thank their family and friends for sharing in the most memorable occasion and for all the love and support that was given.
