Vsn Deer horn Aug 9, 1R82, at Freeborn Her early childhood was spent near Freeborn Later the family located on a farm near Alden.Following the death of her husband in 1937 she purchased a home in Alden village and had resided there since Mrs. Van Deer attended rural school District 70 and the Alden high school. For five years she taught at Gordonsville and otto e r area schools.She was a member of the Alden Methodist Church and belonged to a Hook Club, Birthday Club, Gct-| to-gether Club and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.She married Otto Van Deer at : Alden Oct. 12, 1004.! Besides her husband she w a s preceded in death by her mother in 1925 and her father in 1936.Survivors Include two sons, John A Van Deer of Alden and Russell L Van Deer of Sarasota, Fla ; i three daughters, Mrs. Irdn (Helen) Sorenson and Mrs Lester (Vivian) Klukow, both of Albert Ia’a, and Mr^. Alviin (Violet Mae) Sehied of Austin; a brother, Alfred Christensen, Ixs Angeles, Calif.; a sister | Mrs. Lena Austin, Healdsb u r g. Calif , and 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Two separate services will he held Wednesday — at the Bonner-up and Son Funeral Chapel at 1 p,m and at the Alden Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Alden Cemetery.
