JEAN S. NATIONBECOMES BRIDEOF D. FOUNTAINRippey—The marriage of Jean S.Nation, daughter of Mrs. ■ Hat O.Petersen of Rippey, and DarrellFountain of Jefferson took place at9:00 o'clock Tuesday morning, Aug.)16, at St. Biigld's Catholic churchin Grand Junction. The Rev. Father Henry Meyer, officiated at the idouble ring ceremony before an altardecorated with baskets of gladioli.Organ music was played throughout the nuptial mass. Jean Marie Sfceelsmith was vocalist and sang”Ave Marie, “Pants Angelicas’* andj “On This Day.” The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle Frank Bias, of Wells, Minn.For her gown the bride chose white slipper satin with marquisette yoke, trimmed in chantilly lace. The long sleeves came to points at the wrists and the full skirt was fashioned with a long train. The bride’s veil was held to a sweetheart bonnet trimmed with seed pearls. She wore a strand of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of clipped white carnations centeredwith a white orclilcf.The matron of honor, Mrs. Jack Nation, wore a gown of pink marquisette over taffeta, Identical to the bride’s. She wore a sweetheart bonnet and matching mitts and carried a bouquet of white gladioli,Theresa Lowry, flower girt, wore a dress of pink organdy over satin, styled like that of the matron of honor, and she carried a basket of rose petals.The groom and best man, Jack Nation, had white carnation boutonnieres. Marvin Stream of Jefferson and Leo Lawler, Ogden, served as ushers. They also wore white carnation boutonnieres.The bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds, Tlifc bridegroom’s mother wore a browndress with brown accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds.The reception for one hundred guests was held at the Woman’sclub house in Jefferson where a♦three-course luncheon was served at 11:00 o’clock. Tables were decoratedtwith white candles and white pom-♦poms.A thvee-tiered decorated wedding cake, encircled with fern and topped with American Beauty roses, centered the bridal table.The bride has always lived in the Rippey community. She was graduated from Rippey high school in 1946. The groom is a graduate of the Jefferson high school and has since been engaged in farming.Following a trip west, the young couple will reside on a farm north of Jefferson./T7 II In
