A pare taker baa now been engaged m m to have the cemetery In a well kept condition.This is a township necropolis and the first burial waa in 183$ whan John, the one year old eon of George and Matilda Hetaer waa burled there. Four aoldlera alao lie there. D. W. Howard, who aerved In the Mexican War and M. L. Flandera, Joseph McCullough and George Hetaer of the Civil War period; Shepherd Het-aser wa killed In thia war but the body waa not returned for burial. This placa haa a historical netting aa after the skirmish at Buffington Island in 1863, John H. Morgan and his men proceeded northward and while about one hundred men successfully escaped acrose the Ohio River at Reedsville, others encamped for the night at Joppa (then called Flatwoods) which Is four miles west of Reedsville.Miss Thelma Polk of Murraygvlile spent the early part of the week with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pickens.Mr. and Mrs. R.
