t .Campbell—Thompson.The co mm unity was treated to B great surprise ife hst Thurs, day when .a telegram was re celvod announcing lhat Miss Naomi Thompson and Mr. Thco Campbell had been married the night before at Nashville, Teno. About ten days before, Miss Thompson left here Tor Chattanooga to visit a former school ffia‘,6 with whom she was to^o for an outing on Lookout Mountain. It seems however other plans bad been made at some former conference in which Cupid had taken a leading hand and the trip to Lookout Mountain was not made. aweek after Miss Thompson’s departure for Chattanooga* Mr. Theo Campbell accompanied by his friend Dr, fa. H. Hord left Springfield alter announcing that they intended to go to Lancaster to join a house party. In stead of going to Lancaster however it seems the two young men went direct to Nashville Tenn., wliere they found Mtefr Thompson at th'e homo of another school friend. After the necessary lieense was Secured aud the services cf a Minister engaged the two young peop’c were married. Thursday they weut to Louisville and came home Friday evening to receive congratulations and blessings from relatives and friends.!The two young people a^e too well known in and aboutSp:ing-tield 'to need any introduction The bride is the only daughter of Mr. aod Mrs. S. B. Thompson and from ben earliest girlhood has made friends and admirers by her beauty and accomplishments. Mr. Campbell is a $od of Circuit Clerk F. M. Canfpbell Bod is engaged as bookkeeper for the firm of Cunningham Duncan. He stauds high iu the estimation oT hil; employers and has fnecds by the score. We may add that the only cause foV objection to the marriage c!n the part of ihe bride's parent^ was the youthful ness of both parties.
