Mrs. Jeff Ludwick provided nuptial music.The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. R. B. Hicks of Pendleton and Mrs. Ruby Sligh of Waco, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Ellen Hicks of Moody. The bridegroom is the great-grandson of Mrs. Tina Sikes.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of silk organ/a and Alencon lace in empire silhouette. designed with a decollette neckline of handclippcd Alencon lace. Seed pearls outlined the neck and a petite bow centered the molded bodice at the waist.The bishop sleeves appliqued in lace, were French-cuffed at the wrists.The controlled bouffant skirt had inserts of Alencon lace, and her mantilla of silk illusion, bordered in Alencon lace, flowed from the modified Juliet cap of chapel length. The bride carried a bouquet of miniature carnations with tiny rosebuds on a white Bible. Woven into the bouquet was a 70 year-old handkerchief, belonging to the bride's great-grandmother.Miss Cheryl Law son of MoffatPERSONALMENTIONMrs.' Cecil Berry is in Corpus Christi this week attending a piano teachers workshop at Del Mar College. The workshop is sponsored by the Corpus Christi Music Teachers Association, and is being conducted by David Carr Glover.served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Carpenter and Miss Mary Salazar.Terry Potts w as best man and groomsmen were Mack Parker of Dallas, brother of the bridegroom and Jerry Hicks, brother of the bride. Seating the guests were Kenny Rheay, Joe Vargas. Tom Heard and Rusty Arp.Jimmy Hicks, brother of the bride, and Timmy Hicks, her cousin, served as candlelight-ers.A reception was held after the ceremony in the fellowship hall. Members of the house party were Mrs. Mack Parker of Dallas; Mrs. Billy Hicks of Temple; Mrs. Joe H. Brown. Mrs. Donald L. Lancaster. Mrs. Foster Willis. Mrs. Don Culli-son. Mrs. J. W. Fair. Mrs. Charles King, Mrs. Alan Wil-kerson and Mrs. Everett Zook.Miss Julie Hicks of Temple, and Miss Tammy Wallace registered the guests. Rice bags were distributed by Laurie Brown and Melissa Lancaster.The bridegroom’s parents were hosts for a rehearsal dinner Thursday night at Frank's Lakevicw Inn. The couple exchanged gifts and presented gifts to their attendants.The bride is a 1974 graduate of Belton High School w here she was a member of Future Homemakers of America for three years and the DE club for two years.The bridegroom is a 1971 graduate of Belton High School. He was president of the Future Teachers of America and captain of the Marching 100 Band. He is majoring in commercial art and advertising at the Southwest Texas State University. He is presently employed at HEB food store.After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Belton.
