Boggs, CorrespondentHold Number Social Events During WeekThere was a good attendance Friday night at the picture show in the park.LaFayette Lassies 4-H club held their Achievement ‘day Tuesday afternoon at Methodist church.LaFayette O.K.S, held a meeting in Masonic hall Tuesday night when two new members were initiated.Mr. and Mrs. John Nolan and son Tommy visited in DeKalb over the week-end and attended the wedding of a friend while there.LaFayette unit of Home Bureau with their families enjoyed a picnic supper last Wednesday night at Wlndmont park in Kewnee. Eleven families enjoyed the supper and a social evening.A stork shower was held Friday night at the home of Mrs. Dean Sweat, with Mrs. Catherine Riner, of Galva, as co-hostess, honoring Mrs. Dorothea Lahr. Twelve guests were present. Games were enjoyed and refreshments served.LaFayette War Mothers met last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. George Allen, south of Tiulon. Those who attended from here were Ida Titlow,Alice Grimmr Veta Henderson, LizzieRashid, Margie Sweat and Mrs. Mc-Intire. Usual business meeting was held and refreshments were served.Out OF State Visitors Here; Others TravelMr. and Mrs. Perry Buffum, of Long Beach, California, came last week to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones and attended the Old Settlers reunion in Toulon. They also visited at Ray Nicholson home in Toulon.Mr. and Mrs. Claridon Grimm, of Pekin, and their son Junior and his wife spent Friday and Saturday in LaFayette with home folks. Junioi was married Saturday, July 14, to Miss Mary Beistiegel, of Springfield, Missouri. R.Os ter berg, of Riverside.FEW ARE ON SICK LISTMrs. Phyhis Blake and daughter Angela went Tuesday to the Children’s hospital in Iowa City where Angela was relieved of the cast she has worn for many weeks and a braoe was fastened to her shoe.Mrs. May Frail, who fell and cut her face at her home Thursday when the lens of her glasses was broken, was taken Saturday to Galesburg Cottage hospital for care and treatment while recovering from the effects of the fall.Mrs. Paternoster, of Kewanee, was a LaFayette caller Sunday.Haskell Gill, of Galva, was a LaFay-etfce caller Monday afternoon.Mr. and M*s. Corliss Irvin Ingels, of Henry, were guests Sunday of Mrs. Cora McCabe and Frank Bliss.Sergeant Clarence Blake and family, of Galesburg, visited over the weekend at the home of Mrs. Phyllis Blake.Mr. and Mrs. James Spargo, of Coal Valley, were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Meaker.Rev. and Mrs. O.
