Hagan, Mannsviile. j Mrs. Allen is their daughter { •and Mr. Hagan r-heir son. I Mrs. Hagan is the former; Mass Vera E. Balch, daughter; of the late Ira F. and Amelia j Casler Balch, Mannsviile. She was graduated in 1906 from the Adams Teacher Training; class and taught for four years, j one in the Hanehette district; and three in the Hagan district. : town of Ellisburg. ;Mr. Hagan is the son of the: late John D. and May Burke j Hagan. Mannsviile. He at-' tended Sandy Creek High school and Sater took a course at Cornell University.The couple was married at the home of the bride Aug. 23, 1900. bv Rev. c. v. Haven, pastor of the local Methodist.church at that time.Following their marriage.Mr. and Mrs. Hagan lived for three years in the Hagan homestead located on the North Pudge road where Mr. Hagan was engaged in farming. living the homestead farm, they! next, went to the Vandere farm at Cleveland. It was at ■ this farm, a part of the F. C.; Soule estate, where Mr. Hagan was emploved for three years as a herdsman, alter which the couple moved to the Leistei ; farm at New ton Square. Pa. There Mr. Hagan was in the, emplov of Mrs. William Du- = pom, Jr.. as farm manager. ] In 1920 Mr. and Mrs. Hagen ; returned to their farm, known j as the Edgewood farm, located-on the North Ridge road be-; tween Mannsviile and Laeona.; In addition to operating the: farm. Mr. and Mrs. Hagan; were emploved by the Ameri- , can Jersev Cattle Club. For. seven vears they attended the annual sales of the club which were heid in a different stateeach year. _ .Mr. Hagan became interestedin the raising of Hereford oat- . tie and for 12 years he sold prize stock to buyers from various states. Visitors from as far away as England and: keotiand came to Edgewood., During the summer of 19o3.; the Hagans entertained the ■ New York State Hereford Club, ai a Field Day at their farm, with 200 in attendance.The Hagans have a son.
