Myers of UnionGrove, became the bride of- the Rev. Grady Guy Walton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady H. Walton, .1124 Odum street, CcfVington, Ga. Rev. Grady White and Rev. Wayne Levan heard the vows and after the ceremony the bride/s parents gave a wedding reception at their lome in Union Grove.In the church, white gladioli ml ms and ferns were background ‘or the wedding and interspersing the flowers and greenery were tall white tapers in branched candelabra. Wedding music was presented by Elihu’ Sloan, pianist, and Billy Mac Bridges, soloist,The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a Princess-style gown of bridal satin, design-1 ed with long sleeves of Chantilly | lace and a yoke of pure silk illusion joined to the satin bodice byChantilly lace in a heart-shaped decolletage. Embroidery of tiny seed pearls was around the lace border. The bouffant skirt extended into an aisl^vide train.- Her fingertip-length veil of imported illusion was attached to a headdress of shirred illusion and lace. She wore a string of pearls, the bridegroom’s gift, and carried a white Bible topped by a white orchid,Attendants to the bride were her sister, Mrs. Craig Levan, matron of honor, and four bridesmaids, Mrs. Jack Ellis, a sister of the bridegroom; Mrs. Hal Howard, Misses Mary Louise Cook and Colleen Painter, Flower girls werenieces of the bride, Misses Hildaand Linda Levan, and, the ring-hearer was a nephew, Master A. W. Myers.All the adult attendants wore waltz-length dresses of net over taffeta, with fitted bodices and scalloped lace capes. The honorattendant wore orchid; two of thebridesmaids were in yellow and the other, two in green. They wore halo headdresses of flowers blending in color with their dresses and carried nosegays of pastel asters and chrysanthemums.The flower girls wore white organdy dresses and carried# nosegays of pastel flowers. The ring-bCarer carried a white satin pillow on which the bride’s ring rested, *Honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. John A. Myers, Mrs, Dwight Myers, Mrs. Marie Hoots, Mrs. Geo* ge Ireland, Mrs. Dorothy Windsor, Mrs. William Myers, Miss Alta Lee Redmon and Miss Elizabeth Recl-111011,Mr. Walton had the *Rev. Daniel Robert Cobb as his best man. Ushers were William Waites Walton and James Gordon Walton, brothers of the bridegroom: Dwight L. Myers, brother of the bride; alid Roy G. Ryan, Jr.At the reception after the ceremony the bride’s table spread with a cloth of white’satin, had a center arrangement of all-white flowers. The three-tiered wedding cake at one end was balanced at the opposite end by the punch bowl. Candles in a pair of silver candelabra flanked the centerpiece.; Receiving with the bridal couple were their parents and members of the wedding party. Mrs. Myers, mother of the bride, wore navy blue lace over taffeta and a corsage of white carnations, The bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Walton, wore beige lace and taffeta, with shoulder arrangement of flowers in blending colors.Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs .Walton left for a wedding trip, after which they will be at home in Louisville, Ky. S, degree from Wake Forest. College in 1949. She has had ft year of graduate study at W.M.U, Training School, Louisville, ?■* Rev. Mr. Walton is a graduate of Covington high school and' Emory-at-Oxford Junior college.’ He has an A. B. degree frbm Meirf cer University where ho wal a member of Kappa Phi Kappa. Iti 1952 he was graduated from .South* ern Baptist Theological seminary, Louisville, with the B. O. degree' and in 1953 received the Th. St. degree from the some institution.
