LA CROSSE TRIBUNE AStephan Streicher Wed in RochesterSt. Wenceslaus Church Scene of Pretty Wedding Ceremony at High Mass TodayONE of the prettiest weddings of the summer took place Tuesday morning at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church when Ceal Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rybarzak, S10 South Sixteenth street, became the bride of Eugene P. Hammes, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Harames, 906 Adams street. Vows were spoken at high mass solemnized at nine o’clock by the Rev. Father Ferdinand Cech, a large company of relatives and friends witnessing the ceremony.On the altar and at the entrance to the church were potted palms, ferns and tall baskets of gladioliThe AttendantsMiss Tracy Hammes. the bridegroom's sister, was bridesmaid and Miss Dorothy Rothaupt was maid of honor, while Edward Schneebergerwas best man and Lloyd Schaper! ---was groomsman. Cshers were Louts DdftlC LyOIlOVcHlGilles and John Hammes.Charles Weiss, organist, played Wagner’s March from Lohengrin for the entrance of the bridal party and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March at the close of the mass. High mass was sung by Grace M. Bartl,Virginia Muldowney, George Howe and Bernard Volz. At the offertory Mrs. Bartl sang Gounod's ‘‘AveMaria’’ and at the communion, “Oh Lord I Am Not Worthy.”The bride’s gown was of Ivory satin and chantilly lace in period cut. Her tulle veil arranged in madonna style fell in a long court train. She earned pernet roses and lilies of the valley in a shower bouquet. Both the bride's attendants wore taffeta in period cut. Miss Rothaupt was in lavender and Miss Hammes in yellow’. They wore picture hats and slippers in matching colors and carried arm bouquets of yellow* roses and purple asters. The flower girl was dainty in lavender organdy and she carried yellow roses and baby breath in her has- J ket.Ijtrjio Breakfast CompanyFifty were served at breakfast at the Rybarzak home after the mass. Gladioli, yellow roses and purple asters were used through the rooms. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Romy Hammes j of the marriage at 6:30 mass Tues-MRS. STEPHAN STREICHER T. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Carrol of Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gilles of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rybarzak of Guttenberg. Iowa.On their wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Hammes will stop at Chicago, Detroit and St. Louis and will spend the remainder of the summer season at DetnWt I^akes, Minn. Mr. Hammes is a sales representative of the International Shoe company of St. Louis. For travel the bride is wearing an ensemble of flat crepe and transparent velvet in pansy shade, with hat to match.Prenuptial hostesses for the bride were Miss Dorothy Rothaupt, Mrs. A. N. Hammes, Mrs. E. J. Kinz, Miss Margaret Haun, Mrs. Emil Schultz and Mrs. A. G. Chapiewsky.day morning of Bertie Alice Donovan of La Crosse, daughter of Mrs. Timothy J. Donovan of Blue Earth. Minn . and Stephan John Streicher. son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephan S. Streicher. 814 South Eighth Street. La Crosse. The date was the same on which the bride’s parents were married forty-four years ago.The Right Rev. Monseigneur Ga-rett P. Murphy, formerly of Blue Earth and a lifelong friend of the bride’s family, received the marriage vows.Mr. and Mrs. George E. Ritter of La Crosse, the latter the bridegroom’s sister, attended the couple.The bride wore a dress of brown *hiffon velvet and a corsage of rosebuds. The matron of honor was in brown crepe romaine trimmed with brown chiffon velvet, and wore a corsage bouquet. Both wrore hats
