A pleasant matrimonial event occurred at the church of the Immaculate Conception, in this yillage, on Sunday afternoon last. At that day Mr* D, B. Harrington and Miss Maggie O’Connor, of this place, were united in maTriage, by Rev. H. N. Leddy.After the ceremony the wedding partywas: given a reception at i he home of the bride's parents, wherp- a brief lime was Pgsedjb merriment and congratulations to the bajipycouple,•’x then like sensible people as they are they \ took -possession of their-pkasaot home, aud have settled -3??wn to domestic bliss, postponing that torture of tortures, (fashionable, perhaps, but refined Cruelty, nevertheless) a wedding journey.The wedding presents were numerous and elegant, and among which was a splendid piano, the gift of the bride’s brother, Mr. Thos. O'Connor.The twain made one flesh have the best wishes of all our people.
