Wedding vows exchangedCouple marries at St. Anne’sLynette and Daniel KirkLynette Rene Fane and Daniel David Kirk were wed July 7 at St. Anne’s Church in Dixon. Parents of the bride are Ronald Gene and Sandra Fane, Barbara Fane and the late Sherry Fane. Parents of the groom are William Sr., and Rachel Kirk of Dixon.The Rev. Harlan Clapsaddle officiated the 7 p.m., double-ring ceremony.Organist was Jan Conkrite of Dixon. Vocalists were Karen Morrison of Dixon and Kelly Kirk of New York, both sisters of the groom. Musical selections included “You’re My Hero,” “Wedding Song,” “Somewhere Out There,” “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Ave Maria.”Two brass candelabras graced the altar, while ivory bows marked the church pews.The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of ivory satin and lace. She wore a wreath headpiece made of silk flowers. Her bouquet of white roses and lilly of the valley was accented with greenery and ribbon.Matron of honor was Cynthia R. Griffith of Dixon, sister of the bride. She wore an aqua, tea-length, taffeta dress with bows on each shoulder and in the back.Bridesmaids were Roxie Mahan, sister of the bride and Amy Hogen-son, friend of the couple. Both are of Dixon. Bridesmaids wore identical dresses to the matron of honor and each carried a single white rose with greenery.Best man was Mark Rogers of Houston, Texas. Dave Lally and Kerry Devine, both friends of the couple, served as groomsmen.Ushers were William Jr., and Pat Kirk, brothers of the groom.Flowergirl Faith Morrison, nieceof the groom, wore a dress similar to the bridesmaids. She carried a basket full of rose petals. Ringbearer, Nicholas Mahan, nephew of the groom, wore a tuxedo similar to the groomsmen.An 8 p.m. reception was held at the VFW immediately following the ceremony. Hosts were Robert Sr., and Maxine Fane, of Dixon, grandparents of the bride.The bride is a graduate of DixonHigh School and is currently attending Sauk Valley Community College. She is employed at Discovery School as a teacher’s aide.The groom, also a graduate of Dixon High School, is currently attending SVCC. He is employed as a correctional officer — Department of Corrections.Following a weekend stay at the Brandywine the couple resides in Dixon.
