Monk, 2501 Tenth Street, Port Neches. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Bruce H. Moore of San Diego, Calif.The couple's wedding rites were solemnized Saturday in First Baptist Church, Port Neches, with Rev. James C. Monk, a retired Baptist minister and grandfather of thefocal point was silver candelabra entwined with pink carnations and greenery.Pam Whitman of Port Neches served the four-tie red cake topped with a miniature bride and groom and enhanced with colonades, white roses and wedding bells. Presiding at the punch bowl was Sandra Vice of Port Neches, the bride's cousin, and Faith Carman, also of Port Neches, was in charge of the guest register. Others in the house-party included Mrs. Burton Taylor of-Port Neches, Mrs. Muriel Carville of Denver, Colo., the bride’s aunt, and Beth Moore of San Diego, the bridegroom’s sister. A pointbride, officiating. He was as- of interest at the reception wassisted by Dr. Roy A. Lambert. A program of music was presented by Judy Massey andMrs. Roy Lambert.Hie bride selected for her marriage a formal gown of white peau de sole fashioned along Empire lines and featuring an A-line skirt. Reembroidered Alencon lace edged the rounded neckline andchapel-length train which extended from a bustle bow at the waistline. Fitted sleeves tapered to points over the hands.Her bouffant floor-length veil of sheer illusion fell from a crown of lilles-of-the-valley and the bridal bouquet, fashioned of orchids nestled in magnolia leaves, was carried on a white Bible.Joan Dodd of Virginia was maid of honor and Mrs. Billy Adams of Port Neches, the bride's cousin, and Mary Lynn Moore of San Diego, the bridegroom's sister, were bridesmaids.They were identically attired in formal gowns of pink crepe featuring scooped necklines and short sleeves* They wore short pink gloves and each carried a single, long-stemmed pink rose*Sheila Lynn- Monk wasa rice bag tree entwined with coral vine and English ivy.For travel, the bride changed into a two-piece suit of green silk linen with which she wore brown lizard accessories and an orchid corsage.The bride is a graduate of Nederland High School and holds a BS degree in Nursingfrom Baylor University inWaco, where she was a member of Sigma Tau Lambda Soroity and a member of the Baptist Student Union executive committee. A Registered Nurse, she has been attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.The bridegroom also holds a degree from Baylor University with a major in Chemistry. He was a member of Beta Beta Beta Fraternity, the American Chemical Society, and earned a place on the Dean's list while at Baylor. He graduated in Julyfrom Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth where he is currently studying.Mrs, Bill Richards of Livingston was a weekend gues flower girl at her sister's of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jack*wedding. She wore a floor-length gown of pink organzaover taffeta designed with a round neckline, short sleeves and a full skirt* She carried a petite basket filled with pink rose petals.Steve McCollum of Corpus Christ! attended as best man. Groompmta were Eric Williams of Dallas and Wayne Monk of Port Neches, the bride's brother. Ushering were Pat Monk of Port Neches, another brother of the bride, Ronnie Shirley, also of Neches.
