Faye Ann Batman Weds Wallace Anderson Jr. v/Grace Evangelical United Breth-*\zm church in 'Story City was the scene of the double ring ceremony on Sunday, July $1, at 8 o’clock p.m., uniting in marriage, Faye Ann Batman, daughter of 'Mr. and ■Mrs. Frank A. Batman, and Wallace C. Anderson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Anderson of Roland. Rev. W. D. Winter'officiated,The altar, decorated by two bouquets of white gladioli, was lighted by candelabra. The processional aisle was carpeted in white, and there were white satin bows on- alternate churdh pterws. , The ushers, Larry Batman, 'brother of the bride, and Vernon • Egland, friend of the groom, lighted the. white tapers.Janet Jamison played th© organ music a's the guests assembled, the traditional wedding march and recessional. Beverly Bor wick, friend of the, bride., sang “That Wonderful 'Mother of Mine,” as the moth-ers of the bride and groom' were usheredfto their pews, “Thie. Voice That Breathed O’er Eden,” as she •led the bridal procession, and “Oh Promis© Me.” after the bridal party had taken- its- place at the altar. Orris Osheim, friend -of the couple, sang “The Lord’s Prayer” as the bridal couple knelt at the altar Th© bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given away by ‘both parents. 6he wore a Ho or length 'gown of Chantilly lace over bridal satin. The fitted bodice featured a rounded neckline and long sleeves tapered to a deep bridal point over the wrists. The skirt was fashioned with Princess lines.Her silk illusion veil fell from a white satin headpiece accented with tiny pearls. Her jewelry consisted of a( single strand of pearls and pearl earrings, gifts -of the groom. Her .bouquet was a detachable wihite orchid on a white Bible, with stephanotis.Anita Smith, cousin of th© bride, served as maid of honor. ‘Carolyn Batman, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Kay Bauman, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. All were dressed in identical floor-length gowns of ice 'blue crystaline with matching headband's, and mitts. Each wore a single strand of pearls and pearl earrings, gifts of the -bride. They carried baskets of white gladioli.Pamela and' Betcky Lou Batman, sisters of th© bride, were flower girls. They were dressed in identical floor-kngth gowns of ice blue crystaline with matching headbands* and mitts. Each wore asingly strand of pearls, gifts of the bride. They carried white baskets of rose petal®.Kay Bauman, brother-in-law of the groom, served as best man. Harvey Anderson, bother of the groom, and Richard Fincham, a friend of the groom, served as ushers, and groomsmen. All the men of the bridal party wore white dinner jackets and boutonnieres.The bride’s mother wore for her daughter’s wedding, a navy blueand whit© frosted nylon redding■coat over a navy blue taffeta sheath with navy and white accessories. The groom’s mother wore a light blue sheer figured nylc^ dress with a blue jacket with white accessories. Both wore pink corsages. Mrs. Nellie Johnson, grandmother of the bride, (had a white carnation corsage rA reception was held in thechurch parlors immediately following the wedding service. The v-ception table was covered with white linen and centered with a bouquet of white gladioli tied with a blue bow and a blue candle on each side. They wore j blue organdy aprons with white ( lace trim.Pvhoda Iiondred, friend of the bride, presided at the guest book, and Donna Hagen, Mrs. Gary Wilson and Eleanor Rritson had charge of the gifts,'assisted by .Marjorie Smith and Valerie Olson.The bride’s traveling, costumewas a navy blue duster over »*wihite figured shceth and with#inatching accessories. ‘She war© awhite orchid corsage.Following a wedding trip to the ; Black Hills, the couple will he at home, in Roland.The bride is a graduat© of the Story City high school.
