The ceremony, which took place at St. ^!:iry s Chinvh, Walmer, was performed by • Rev. Norman Radcliffe, D.D. The •rid**, w’ro was given away by her brother-in-aw. Captain Thomas Shecdy, R.A.M.C., wore a lt;; r.-ss of pale pink crepe minon, finished with a d-'--p waistband of black velvet, and a large h.i-k voivd hai, and carried a bouquet of pale I-’nl carnations and gladioli, the gift of the 1 *r:.J•. ltt* un. There were no bridesmaids, and v ry shonlv after the ceremony Captain and Mrs Lapace left for thoir honeymoon. The d;:d«* travelled in a costume -of navy blue iai*ard:r\ with a black hat.
