John Brennan officiating. Serving as lectors at the Mass were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Schachfner of Pomeroy, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. Mass servers were Dennis Schachfner, brother of the bride and Gene Vaughan, nephew of the groom.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schachfner of SFonda and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil , Auten, Sr., of Mallard.Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a semi-cathedral length gown of white organza which featured a r mandarin beaded neckline with fa. re-embroidered lace and0,k§hepherdess sleeves. She ref a powder blue crepe gown pr accented by a lace yoke and lace ■h^U sleeves. Kim Hammen, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. Her dress, identical to Debbie's, was in mint green. They each carried a single white carnation with pastel ribbon loops.Nadine Schachfner, sister of the bride, served as her personalattendant.Virgil Augen, Jr., served his brother as best man, while Pat Schumacher, a friend of the groom, was groomsman. Guests were ushered by Tom Schachfner, brother of the bride, 8rad Thorpe, cousin of the bride, Earl SpiHes and Dan Stokes.The men of the wedding party wore white tuxedos trimmed In black. Their shirts were in white and pastel colors of blue, green, pink, and yellow.The brides mother chose a yellow floor length crepe gown with a lace jacket, while the mother of the groom was attired jn a pink floorlength crepe gown with a sheerganza jacket.Wedding music was provided by Denise Kuklenz, organist and Sherri Wadle, soloist.. Hosts and hostesses for the reception that followed in the ' K.C. Hall were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Schachfner and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Booge, uncle and aunt of the groom.Mrs, Janet Johnson, cousin of•the •'bride, registered the 25Q guests and relatives.The bride is a 1974 graduate of O.L.G.C. High School, and ILCC: in. Emmetsburg. She is employed at Lakeland Education Agency in Cylinder. Her husband is a graduate of Mallard High School and ILCC in Emmetsburg. He is employed as Plant Manager of Quad-County Farm Service in Curlew.Following a wedding trip to South Dakota, the newlyweds will make their home in Mallard.Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Auten, Sr.% hosted a.rehearsal supper at The Village Inn in Fonda.
