Linda Selph and Paul Moffitt wed in First Baptist Church at BentonMarriage vows were exchanged by Miss Linda Lee Selph and Paul Eugene Moffitt at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, in First Baptist Church at Benton. Parents of the couple are Dr. and Mrs. Bernes K. Selph and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene K. Moffitt, of Wichita, Kan.Dr. Selph, father of the bride, and pastor of the church, solemnized the vows. Wedding music was presented by Mrs. Frances Scott of Arkadelphia, soloist, and Miss Sarabel Leech, organist. Candles were lighted by Miss Judy Haire of Little Rock and Jim Poe of Edmond,Okla.The bride was escorted to the altar by herfather before he stepped to the platform to readthe vows. She wore a gown of imported organzaand Alencon lace. Lace medallions adorned thehigh neckline. sheDherdess sleeves and demi-bell skirt. A double-ruffle encircled the skirt atthe hemline and the attached chapel train. She wore a chapel length, re-embroidered lace mantilla and carried a colonial bouquet of apricot Woburnably roses, stephanotis andbaby’s-breath.The bride’s sister, Mrs. Jim Nicewander of Norman, Okla., was matron of honor.Final plans for the wedding of Miss Barbara Jean Wilson and Johnny Phillip Gregory have been completed.Marriage vows will be exchanged at 3 p m Saturday, Aug. 18, in the First Baptist Church of Trumann, Ark. Rev. Curtis Downs willofficiate at the double-ring ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr and Mrs. Roy Wilson, Sr. of Trumann and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gregory of Benton.Invitations are not being mailed. Each carried an arm-bouquet of apricot carnations tied with orange ribbons.Miss Haire, who lighted the candles, wore agown of apricot organza fashioned with a rounded, ruffled neckline. She wore apricot shoes and a cluster of apricot feathered carnations in her hair.Howard Utz of Wichita. Kan. was best man. Groomsmen were Jim Poe of Edmond, Okla., Bob O’Mara of Wichita. Dr. Selph presented the couple with an inscribed Bible, a gift from himself and Mrs. SelphThe rings exchanged in the ceremony were of jade, designed by the bridegroom.Mrs. Selph, mother of the bride, wore a floor-length gowTi of pink crepe, designed with long sleeves of peau de soie, and a lace overlay at the waistline. Pink shoes, white gloves and a white orchid corsage completed her ensemble.The bridegroom’s mother wore a floor-length gown of mint green eyelet, complimented by white accessories A white orchid corsage was pinned at her shoulder.Mrs R. K. Selph of Cotton Valley, La., grandmother of the bride, chose a floor-length gown of blue eyelet. She wore a pearl necklace and white accessories to complete the ensemble, and pinned a pink glamelia at her shoulder.ReceptionDr and Mrs Bernes K. Selph were hosts for a reception in the fellowship hall following the marriage of their daughter, Linda, and PaulMoffitt.The bride’s table was covered with a cloth of white satin and lace. The centerpiece arrangement was of apricot Woburnably roses in a silver candelabrum holding four orange tapers. Other appointments were of cut glass and silver.The five-tiered wedding cake, with Grecian columns, was iced in white and decorated with white wedding bells and roses. Apricot feathered carnations were placed between the columns and on each tier, with greenery surrounding the base A crown of apricot roses and carnations topped the cake.Orange pumch, apricot mints and mixed glazed nuts were served. Assisting at the bride's table were Mrs. Howard Tumey. Miss Marjo Mayo, Miss Cindy Hogue and Miss Martha Nobles.Mrs. Howard Utz presided at the bride’s book A small, round table, skirted in white satin trimmed in lace, and topped with a reflection mirror, held the book and a memory candle encircled by greenery The Bible which was presented to the couple at the conclusion of the ceremony was placed on the table, along with the bride's bouquet.Rice bags of apricot net tied with white ribbon and inscribed with Linda and Paul were distributed by Miss Lynn Mayo.For travel the bride wore a yellow dress styled with a high neckline. Her accessories were white.Following a trip to Eureka Springs, the couple will reside in Wichita. Kan., where the bridegroom is associated with Coleman Industries, Inc.Rehearsal DinnerMr and Mrs Eugene Moffitt were hosts at a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at the Holiday Inn Restaurant for the wedding party of Linda Selph and Paul Moffitt.TTie head table was centered with an arrangement of apricot Wobumable roses, apricot daisy chrysanthemums and leather leaffern.The bride and bridegroom presented gifts totheir attendants.
