Marriage Rites Performed Thurs.The Rev. M.B. Adkins officiated at the Thursday afternoon wedding of Claudia Gene ' Duckworth and Joseph C. Waller, Jr. The Beauxart Gardens Baptist church in Nederland was the scene of the wedding. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Gandy of Port Arthur and Mrs. Pat Waller of Groves.The bride selected a fitted satin dress overlaid in lace, and featuring flared sleeves. She carried a white lace-cov-ered Bible topped with a white orchid and her accessories were beige.#Amy Gandy, the bride's sister, and Charles Canfil, stepbrother of the bridegroom, were honor attendants. Seating the guests were Michael Adams. The maid of honor's dress was of gold brocade and she wore an orchid.The reception was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Canfil of Nederland. The three-tiered rectangular cake was decorated with yellow flowers and was served by Doris Treibel. Mrs. Paul J. Colletti presided at the punch bowl and Amy Gandy registered the guests.The couple will reside in Oceanside, Calif.The bride attended Monahans high school in Monahans. The bridegroom is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson high school and attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute and North Texas State College.He is currently in the United States Marine Corps where he is a staff sergeant at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He has just returned from a tour of duty In Vietnam.
