Van Ommeren-RoelmanMrs. Joe Van Ommeren, and daughter, Mrs. George Genant of Springfield, S.D., attended a shower given Miss Charlene Roetman of Sheldon at the Vernon Van Ommeren home in Boyden, last week Thursday evening. The mothers, sisters, aunts and cousins participated. Miss R'oetman’s marriage to Roger Van Ommeren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Van Ommeren of Orange City will take place on Thursday* evening, Aug. 24 in the Hospers’ Ref. Church. The Rev. Bos, pastor of the church will officiate. A reception will be held in the church parlors after .he ceremony. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Roetman of Sheldon. The couple will reside in Madison, Wis., where the bridegroom will do graduate work toward aMasters Degree in Journalism under a $1000 scholarship.Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ver Steeg and Bruce of Minneapolis spent the weekend with their respective parents, Mrs. J.
