M iss Jimmie Mitchell, Joe WooleryExchange Marriage Vows FridayThe wedding of Miss JimmieLee Mitchell and Joe David Woolery of Hawkins, was solemnized August 11 at the First Presbyterian Church, Gladewater. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Mitchell of Hawkins and the bridegroom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. John Woolery, Hawkins.Rev. Thomas R. Elder officiated lor the double-ring ceremony.Miss Sallye Ann Mitchell, sister of the bride, presented a yrt lude of nuptial music and played the traditional wedding marches. I She also accompanied Glen Faison 1 of Gladewater, who sang “Always” and “Because.* *The vows were spoken under an arch covered with greenery. Large baskets of white gladioli accented with white satin bows were placed on either side. In the background were floor candelabra entwined with greenery and holding white tapers. The candles were lighted by George Saywer of Kilgore, nephew of the bride, and JoeWheelis, Hawkins.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a blue lace dress over blue satin. Fashioned with a stand-up collar, the dress had a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her hat was aj white straw. She carried a white Bible topped witha purple orchid and carnationsShowered with white satin streamers. She carried out the traditional something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.Miss Patricia Shelton, maid of honor, wore a yellow organdy dress with a fitted basque waist, low cut neckline, and a full gathered skirt. A white Juliet cap and ! white shoes completed her attire. Her corsage was of white carnations.The bride’s mother chose for her daughter’s wedding a black crepe dress with black and whiteaccessories and an orchid mum corsage. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black silk dress with black accessories and her corsage was of pink carnations. ,James Waller of Big Sandy served as best man. Ushers were George Saywer and Joe Wheelis.The bride is a graduate of Hawkins High School where she was a majorette in the Hawkins High School Band. She attended Tyler Junior College and was a member of the Apache Belles. She is, at the present time, employed at Tyler Junior College.The groom is a graduate of Big Sandy/ High School and attended Tyler Junior College. Mr. Woolery is in the dairy business at Big Sandy.The newlyweds are spending their honeymoon in Galveston.Celebrates HBirthday WithTheater PartyMrs. L. J. Babin, Hawkins, entertained her son, Bobby with a theater party on his sixth birthday.Following the show the groupreturned to the Babin home and enjoyed lawn games. Gifts were presented to Bobby, and the Happy Birthday” song followed.
