Tbo Altar*Lieut. Sylvester Morgan who fought gallantly through many campaigns in the war for the Union, and came forth unharmed by rebel bullets, was not so successful in escaping the darts of cupid, and has at last unconditionally surrendered. To-morrow he leads to the altar Miss Moffat of Blooming grove, recently an accomplished and much respected teacher in our public school. The nuptial ceremony takes place at Washingtonville, and the bridal party go on a tour to Watkins Glen and other interesting localities. The other members of the musical quartette to which Lieut M., belonged, viz.: Miss Fanny Sloat,Mrs. Vignes, and Mr. Butcher, have procured an elegantly bound copy of the Holy Bible for a present to their distingu:shed Basso as a token of esteem and a remembrancee of the harmony and psalmody which has always prevailed within their ranks. The best wishes of many real friends will go with the Lieutenant and his bride.
