Fern balls banked the altar.Lamar Smith and Leon Smith, brothers of the bride, lighted the candles.George Weaver, organist, presented a program of wedding music and Mrs. Ava Smith, sister-in-law of the bride, sang “Whither Thou Goest” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”, ■ i .Sammy Smith, brother of the bride, served as best man. Groomsmen were Danny Kendrick, brother-in-law of the bride, David Taylor of Atlanta and Russell Crane ofIndian Springs. Ruffles at the neck and sleeves ornamented the gowns. They ^carried long stemmed pink roses adorned with pink and blue ribbon. The flower girl earned awhite wicker basket filled. • ♦ rwith white daisies* pink and blue mums, rosebuds and baby’s breath.The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Roscoe Smith of Griffin, was stunning in the traditional white floor:length , gown ofwhite satin. Complementing the bodice was a bib of whitecotton lace, hand embroider-“ed with tiny seed pearls. Sleeves of cotton lace wereadorned with pearls. Roseof the gown and were also hand sewn with pearls by the bride’s mother. Four rows of lt;, _ „ » lace bordered the botton of the skirt which swept into a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white daisies, feathered white carnations, gypsophi-lia and a beautiful cattleya orchid in the center, all mounted on a white lace Bible. Long streamers weretied in love knots.Mrs. Smith chose for her daughter’s wedding a pastel blue formal gown of softcotton Lungsung with matching accessories. She wore a pink cymbidium orchid.Mrs. Haley wore a formal gown of peach double knit accented with gold accessories and a white cymbidium orchid.Mrs. Robert Reynolds of Douglasville, the only grandmother present, wore a formal lavender gown of satin overlaid with chiffon, matching accessories, and a corsage of white carnations.Clint Smith and Brent Smith, both nephews of the bride, gave out white, pink,the ceremony a r^ceptibn was given by thi^ bride’s family; in the fellowship h^ll of the church.three-tiered cake was ein*-; bossed ‘ vftth ; ■ white. and | featured pink rosebud cluster^ white columns, and was tbppe^ with ; doves and cupids. W Haley entertained the , wedding party at the Jenkinsburg Community ^Clubhouse June 20th at 8:30 o’clock. Decorations included yellow day lilies, candelabras holding yellow candles and tied with huge yellow bows at the base of each holder. Tables were laden with delicious food. All members of the wedding party and their familiesattended.PARTIESMr. and Mrs, Harry Dumas and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson of Warner Robins entertained the couple, along with families and friends, on June 14th at • 9the Dumas summer farm in♦ »Perry with a barbecue.
