FULTON — Gretchen Oree Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hartman of rural Fulton was united in marriage to David Andrew Stingley, son of Mr and Mr*. Eugene Stingley of Savanna. The double-ring ceremony took place on .July 25 at 7 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Savanna and was officiated by the Rev. Fred Eisenhut, pastor of the church.The brine wore a traditional gow n fahioned of sheer organza and French Chant till lat e,designed with empire waistline circled by blue satin ribbon, gently moulded bodice with A V-yokc of pearled win-few pane Iac€ with ruffled lace edging. Lace also formed the Victorian choker collar and cuffs the full Bishop sleeves. The A-line silhouette skirt had a wide, ruffled flounce. The gown featured a detachable train, also a wide panel of lace on the bodice. A pearlized comb held her lace edged, chapel length Mantilla veil. She carried a bouquet of blue and white nompon», with white daisies and blue and w-hite baby’s breath. The bouquet was cascade style.The maid of honor was Marilyn Stingley, a sister of the bridegroom. She wore a blue and white floor length dress which was. made by the bride's mother. She carried blue and white pom-pons with blue and w’hite buoy's breathBest man was Eldon Bardell or rural Thomson. Assisting at the reception were: Mary Calvert, Chris Tipton, Cindy Young, Laurie Sour and Mary Bogenrief.The bride is a 197.M graduate of Thomson High School and is employed at National Lock Company in Savanna. The bridegroom was a 1972 graduate of Savanna Community High School and is serving aboard the USS Eorrestal in the U. S. Navy.
