IWWI....tâ,Mr. and Mrs. Board Married Fifty YearsMr. and Mrs. Glen Board will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday afternoon at their home. 2120 Lafayette, with an open house from 2 to 5.Mr. Board and Miss Lena B. Ross yere married Aug. 15, 1909 by the Rev. Boyd Hardin, a Free Methodist minister from Kings-wood, Ky. The ceremony took place in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Ross, nearIrvington, Ky,They came to Mattoon 43 years ago, and Mr. Board has worked for the Illinois Central RailroadJournal Gazette Photo b? Warren K Mood'most of the time since then until Ills retirement two years ago.The couple has one son. William Board who is employed as a baggageman for the Illinois Central Railroad at Effingham. A daughter, Mrs. Robert Coen, lives in Mattoon and another daughter, Mrs. Nolan Coen, lives at Coles. There is one grandson, Billy Glen Helton.Since his retirement Mr. Board takes care of his garden and the upkeep of his property and Mrs. Board manages the householdwithout help.
