Dunson will leave Monday, August 15 for a two weeks vacation. And before leaving, Mr. Dunson announced the service speakers for the two Sundays he will be away from his church.On Sunday, August 21. End PTA Executive Board MapsPlans For Year In Thursday MeetingIThe executive board of the WestiEnd PTA mapped plans for the work of the busy members for the year and chose the state themefor the programs as they met withtheir president, Mrs. Raymond Schroeder, Thursday afternoon.The theme for the programs for the year is 'We, the People, Insure Richer Dividends” and programs after the September meeting will be based on this. The Semptember meeting will be in the form of a family picnic in Murphy Park on September 15 at 750 p m This will be for the general getting acquaint ed of the members and the faculty.On August 31, the PTA will be on hand as hostesses for the first grade pupils and their parents as registration is held. The PTA will serve light refreshments.Mrs. Schroeder named a committee to work with other units in the city for the reception for the faculty on September I The committee will include Mesdames Ben Allgood, Bill Townsend, Ben McCuk, Frank Svoboda, Henry Boedeker, Connie Lawson, and C. L. Carson, and Mrs. Schroeder will also work as a member.Members of the board were asked to take the two courses offered i for PTA improvement during the year. Meetings were set for two days a month, the executive board to meet on t he second Wednesday and the general meeting of the PTA on the third Thursday.Fall FestivalThe fall festival was set for November 3.
