Truman Road, will quietly celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 16 Mr. and Mrs. Smith were married Aug. 16, 1911, at the home of Mrs. Smith’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Smuggs. WVJThey have lived in Independence for ; 33 years. Mr. Smith retired in 1956 from the National Biscuit Company in Detroit and Kansas City after 40 yearsIof service as a sales representative.They are members of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Mr. Smith is an elder.The Smiths have four children Marian B. O’Leary, Wichita, Kan.; Betty Tyrer, Detioit, Mich.; A. B. Smith Jr., Greenwood, Mo.; Stephen Albert Smith, Independence. They have ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
