Akron, since returning frorti their honeymoon at Virginia Beach.They were married on Saturday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m. at ('.race Cathedral Church. Akron. The Hev Frnest Angley officiated for the double-ring ceremony.Parents of'the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William C. Mitchell of 2332-21st S.W., Akron and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stephens of Marshallville. Organist was Tom Ober and soloist was Laddie Knight.The bride chose a full-length gown of white satin that was trimmed with lace and flower appliques and pearls. It had long sleeves that button at the cuffs. They also matched the lace empire bodice on her dress. Her headpiece of petals trimmed with flowers and pearls held the elbow-length veil. Her chapel-length train was held by'a bow at' the back. She carried white orchids with purple centering.Mrs: Rufus Stone was matron of honor. Bridesmaids included lt;»ail Hahn, Linda Moore, Mrs. Fred Franco and Mrs. Rick Miller. Their floor-length gowns oflavender were trimmed in white.They each wore a white picturehat trimmed in lavender. Eachcarried a white basket of pinkand lavender daisies and carnations.Renee Diehl, flower girl, wore a long white dress trimmed in lavender and wore a wreath of daisies and carnations in her hair and carried a basket of rose petals.Rick Miller was best man. Ushers were Tony Gerbec, Dennis Jordon, Jack Mitchell and Jessie Stephens. Gregg Bauders was ringbearer.Mrs. Mitchell wore an aqua coat dress, white accessories and wore an aqua and white carnations corsage. Mrs. Stephens wore a beige coat dress, beige accessories and wore a pink and white carnations corsage.A reception for 250 was held in the Concordia Lutheran Church. The bride's table was covered with a white lace table cloth and was centered with a four-tie red eloverleaf cake decorated with lavender and pink daisies and rosebuds. The cake was topped with a pair of doves. The attendant’s baskets were also placed on the table. The punch was served from a fountain, which was encircled with flowers at the top part.Sheila Smith was in charge ofBIGLER'SHello Everybody,This week we have our window filled with a new shipment ofthe guest book.For traveling, the bride vfore a pink dress with orchid from her bridal bouquet.The new Mrs. Stephens, a 1971 graduate of Kenmore High School.Her husband, a 1970 graduateof Doylestown High School,works for Seiberling Tire Company, Barberton.Guests were present from Wooster, Marshallville, Seville, Doylestown, Sandusky, North Canton, North Lawrence and Rittman, as well as Indiana and Florida.A rehearsal supper was given by the groom’s parents at Hopo-can Gardens in Barberton.Per acre values of farmland and buildings went up 3 per cent nationally in the year ended March 1, 1971.
