KETTERMAJ GOLDEN WEDDING.THnding a Con.ans left oston.re happy at theirOn the Oth day of August, 1840, Mr. Joseph Saville was married to Hannah Ketterman on the farm where T. B. Cummings now lives, out in Catsarcreek; township, five miles south of Xenia. They soon after marriage moved ou an adjoining farm, where they have resided the fifty years of their married life. They have lived quiet, consistent Christian lives, honored and respected by all of their neighbors.On August 6th, 1890, about 100 Of their neighbors, relatives and friends with well filled baskets gathered at their pleasant borne to congratulate them on the anniversary of their -60th wedding day without any formal ceremony. A sumptuous dinner was spread in the Orchard, of which ail partook heartily, especially the Revs, 8. 15-Yeckey and A. hi. Spahr, of Xenia,.and the Rev. Gideon Spahr, of Lumberton.After dinner the Rev. Yockey in a neat and appropriate address presented ou behalf of the children, and grandchildren to the aged couple many beautiful golden presents. This was followed by appropriate prayer by Rev. A. NT. Spahr. There were born to this couple three sons and seven daughters, six of which are living, all of the sons and one daughter having died in infancy- There are twenty-seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. All of those living were present except Mrs- Wilkins and children, of Kansas. There were five generations represented herein this family, the venerable Jonathan Ketterman, father of Mrs. Saville, Mrs. II. C- fudge and Mrs. James Thomas and son Charley.The following named persons over 70 years of age were noticed by your correspondent : J. Ketterman 95, Joseph Saville 73, Mrs. Saville 71, John Thomas 73, Mrs. Thomas 70, Churchill Haughey 72, T. B. Cumming3 76, Elijah Smith 77,Rev. Gideon Spahr 76,Mrs. Spahr 73, Mrs. McDonald (Bister of the groom) 70, Mrs. Conklin 71, Hannah Eyman 87.We noticed from a. distance Mrs. Jtohinson, of Indiana; James Saville, a brother, from Iowa; Miss Laura Pudge, of Albany, Ind.: and Mr. and Mrs. Antram, of Wilmington. Also the guests of Miss May Cummings, Misses Ella and Jennie Scarff, of Bell-brook-The guests all went away delighted and wishing the aged couple yet many years of happiness.
