A garden dinner party honoring Obie Sue Dunklee, daughter of Mr and Mrs. David Dunklee of Den ver, and Michael Gaulphe Thomas of Elizabethtown, N.C., whose wedding took place yesterday at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral in Denver, was given by her aunt and unc}e, Dorcas and William Durkee, at their Mesa Avenue home. While the party was restricted to family, it was a good size, since 45 came from Loveland alone for the festive evening. Especially welcome were the Durkee’s children who came from far places to attend their cousin s wedding. The William P. Durkees, IV, came from Pittsburg where he is the professor of architectural design at the University of Pittsburg; Mr and Mrs. Kevin McTernan came from Baltimore where he is a campus minister at the Maryland Institute of Art; and Edward C. Durkee, just graduated from Amherst, will come from Bangkok where he was vacationing before entering the Yale Divinity School. The Durkees will be a welcome addition to the community. They moved to Colorado Springs in June from Washington, D C. after his retirement from the State Department. William Durkee was the president of Radio Free Europe for nine years, among his other European assignments.
