Calender, who was alleged to have wronged her under promise ofmarriage, is to-day a comparativelyhappy bride.The young man had not left thecity, it appears, for he was located before the supper hour, and when threatened with prosecution for seduction, consented to make his victim his wife.A marriage license was obtainedabout 5 o’clock p. m., and a few minutes later the couple were united i in wedlock, the ceremony being performed by Judge Hoy.I Carender was seen at Hotel Le-| Grande this morning. He is a verdant countryman, about 22 or 23 years old, and stated that he came here last Monday night from Amos, Ark.He and his bride were raised together in Cole county, he says, and | he never had anv intention of de-serting her. He had a little misunderstanding with the people where she was stopping, though, and this fact led to his breaking the engagement for the ceremony to be performed Tuesday forenoon.
