Teresa Sudlow Becomes Bride Of Nathan DarstThe First Apostolic Church in1 Lancaster was the setting for the July2 wedding of Miss Teresa Sudlow and Nathan Darst.Pastor James Roam and the Rev. JohnS Leamanof St. Louis. Mo., read the lt;5:30 p.m service uniting the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Timothy Sudlow of Rockbridge Rt. 1 and the son (»f Mr and Mrs. Darrell Darst of Italtimore.For the occasion baskets of palms and carnations and two seven-branched candelabra adorned the altar. An archway covered with carnations, baby’s breath and greenery also graced the altar. A united candle was lit by the couple during the ceremony.Music for the occasion was performed by Mrs. Nancy Stevens, pianist. Mrs. Sandy Jordan, organist, and vocalists Mrs. Mary Stebelton and Don Robson.Selections included “The Lord’s Prayer,” ‘‘You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “We’veOnly Just Begun,” How Can I Say Thanks,” and “So Serve The Lord With All Your Heart.” As the bride approached the altar she sang to the groom Each for The Other.”For her day of days the former Miss Sudlow was attired in a full length w hite single knit gown fashioned with an empire waistline and a chapel train. Full sleeves with wide French cuffs added lovely detail, and her Camelot headpiece held a waist length veil. Her Ixtuquet was of yellow, mint green and white carnations, and baby's breath with long mint green streamers.Mrs. Terry Conrad served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. U'onard Hicks, cousin of the bride. Miss Ardell Darst, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Pam Thresher. Each was attired in a single knitgown of pastel yellow styled with an empire waistline and a matching long-sleeved jacket. Each carried a bouquet of carnations mixed with baby’s breath, completed with white streamers. Each wore an array of flowers in her hair.Miss Amy Warfield, flower girl, wore a yellow floral dress and carried a bouquet of pastel carnations. Matthew Stebelton was ring bearer.David Darst attended his brother as best man, and Jack Clonch, Robert Mason and Rodney Leaman served as groomsmen. Ushers were Kenny Mason, Terry Perry, and Danny Cleland.Miss Carol Strohm, cousin of the bridegroom, attended the guest book.Immediately following the ceremony a reception was enjoyed in the social room of the church. A fourtiered wedding cake was decorated in mint green and yellow flowers and arrangements of pastel carnations, candles and a fountain style punch bowl added to the decor.Hostesses were Mrs. David Sudlow, Mrs. Raymond Young, Miss Jewel Peters. Miss Kathy Lahow, Mrs. Mike Hurst, Miss Becky Springer, Miss Dixie Keller, and Miss Teresa Rit-gers.A rehearsal dinner was given at Triangle Lake the evening of July 1.The couple later departed on a wedding trip to Columbus, and are presently residing at Cross Road Apts. 1208 S. S. Loop 820, Apt. 241, Fort Worth, Tex., 76134.The new Mrs. Darst is a 1976 graduate of Logan High School and Tri-County Vocational School. Her husband is a Liberty Union School graduate. They plan to attend Wide World of Truth Ministries Bible College in Texas in September.Out-of-town wedding guests were from St. Louis, Mo. and Logan, Newark, Toledo, Union Furnace, Columbus and New Lexington.Before her wedding Mrs. Darst was honored with showers given by Mrs. Terry Conrad, Miss David Sudlow, Mrs. Jack Clonch, Miss Ardella Darst and Mrs. Leonard Hicks.Read The WANT ADS
