IBarbara Hopkins Hartt Wed To William Porter HiseMiss Barbara Hopkins Hartt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Wilbur Hartt, 970 Old Post Road, Fairfield, became the bride of William Porter Hise, son of Mrs. George Richard Hise of Washington , D. C, and the late Mr. Hise, Satur-*dat afternoon in Trinity Episcopal church, Southport at 4 o'clock. Right Rev. John Henry Esquirol, Suffragan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, assisted by the Rev. Franclc X. Cheney, rector, officiated.The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of satin-finish organza, fashioned with a scoop neckline, short sleeves and a circular skirt with chapel train. Motifs of reembroidered Alencon lace and beads trimmed the bodice and skirt asymmetrically. Her illusion veil cascaded from a wreath of orange blossoms and her bouquet was a cascade of eucharis lilies, stephanotis, lilies of the valley and ivy.Mrs. Alfred Walter Acker, Jr., served her sister as matron of honor and Mrs. Russell W. Hartt of Old Saybrook, her sister-in-law, Mrs. RobertMunson of Manchester, a cousin;Miss Louise McLean of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Miss JanetNark of Cambridge, Mass., former college roommates, attended her also.Their frocks were made with bodices of pink faille and skirts of white organza appliqued in pink flowers. They wore matching pink bow headdresses and carried bouquets of rubrum lilies, pink sweetheart roses and ivy.Mr. Hise was attended by his brother, Richard Porter Hise of San Rafael, Cal., as best man and the usher corps included Robert Goodwin of Washington, D. C., David Porter Stauffer of Chevy Chase, Md.cousin of the bridegroom; Sgt. Major Fred E. Darling of Fort Meyer, Va., Russell W. Hartt of Old Saybrook and David B. Hartt of Fairfield, brothers ofthe bride.A reception in the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony. In the early evening the couple left for Maine, and on returning will make their home in Washington, D. C.Mrs. Hise is a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and Mount Holyoke College, cum.aude. She is employed by theDepartment of Commerce, Washington, D. C.Mr. Hise, an alumnus of the University of Iowa, served two years in the Army. He is associated with the real estate firm of Frank S. Phillips, Inc., in Washington, D. C., and is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the Touchdown club of Washington.On Deck
