Neither theimmediate relatives or tbe intimatefriends of the young couple were let into the secret and they were back in the city announcing their wedding, before any one knew of the event. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Emmiline Kern of Fayetteville and has a host of friends in this city. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Payne, North O street and is very popular a-mongst his friends in this city. They will make their home with the bridegroom's parents for the present.
