LELAND SKINNER - CorrespondentMr. and Mrs. Ted Hale telephoned their son Dennis, who is on a Great Lakes Mission to congratulate him on his recent appointment in the mission field. On July 11 he received a letter from hiis mission president informing him he was called to serve as supervising elder of the Mansfield. Ohio District and he would be living at Ashland, Ohio. On July 24 he received another letter telling him he had been chosen as a member of the Great Lakes Mission Board. Theletter his parents received said, “This is indeed an honorary position and detailed reports will be sent to his parents, bishop and stake president so they may share in this achievement. These reports and his progress will be reported directly. Elder Hale has 2Vfe months leftin the mission field.Ralph and Anne Dyment andfamily have Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Frosled and daughter Karen visiting them from Long Island. N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Johnson of Idaho Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ford and family of Idaho Falls met at Palisades for a family picnic and get-together Sunday.The MIA presented a talent show last week to members ofthe ward.Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dana became parents for the first time Sunday with the arrival of a baby daughter.Irene Merritt is convalescing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stoker, after the arrival of a baby boy, Irene’s and O’Dean’s second son.Grace Robinson was sent to Sail Lake City Wednesday by her doctor to see a specialistabout her hand.Mr. and Mrs. Donn Woodenwent to Salt Lake City Monday on business.
