John W. Tut on, rector, performed the ceremony. The altar was decorated with arrangements of white gladioli, dahlias and Oregon fern. Fern trees and seven-branched candelabra were used in the church, Josef Privette. organist, presented a program of wedding music.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an embroidered organdy gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and a bertha of embroidered organdy in the fitted bodice, and a full skirt ending in a /ircular train. She wore long matching organdy mitts, and her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a Juliet cap of lalt;e which belonged to her great-grandmother. She carried a white vel- » vet ring with a cascade of whita R glameliias ami white streamer*!*caught with white delphinium.Miss Emily Schuber of Asheville served as her maid of honor. She wore an ankle-length dress of pale blue organdy over taffeta made;, with a portrait neckline edged, L* liiAi f/ktii * nil A 1 ill skirt ! Mis* DNancy Norman, and Miss Penelope Self, all of Asheville, werebridesmaid* Their dresses amihaloes were identical to that of the honor attendant ami they carried white velvet rings with similar flowers.Harry Worthley Burke of Charlotte, college roommate of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were William Murray Hollyday of Asheville, brother of the bride. Robert R, Oliver of Winston-Salem, Jesse C. Johnson of Mayodan. and Edward L. McGee of Mt. Olive.■ | A reception was held for members of the families ami out-of-town guests in the home of Mr.and Mrs. William G. Adams, uncle and aunt of the bride.Mrs. Adams, aunt of the bride, wore an orchid crepe dress withwhite accessories and a corsage erf yellow rosebuds. The bridegroom s mother wore a dress of aqua crepe with white accessories arid a corsage erf pink rosebuds. After the reception, the coupleleft by motor for a wedding trip to the South. For traveling thebride wore a blue linen dress withwhite accessories and a corsage detached from her bouquet. Upontheir return they will be at homein the Shelton Apartments in Raleigh.Mrs. Hedrick was graduated from St. Genevieve erf the Pines and Woman * College of the University of North Carolina. She was a member of the Asheville Junior Assembly and Old Maids’ Club, social organizations and belongs to the Asheville Junior League and the Asheville branch ofthe American Association of University Women. She made her debut in Raleigh in 1916. and has taught the first grade in Claxton Elementary School in Asheville, for the past three years.Mr. Hedrick attended public schools in Thomasville and was graduated from the University of North Carolina, where he was a member erf Sigma Chi social fraternity, and The Order of the Grail.
