MRS. DANIEL WOODCynthia Cloin becomesbride of Daniel WoodCynthia Denise Cloin and Daniel Wayne Wood exchanged their nuptial vows before an altar of palms and brass candela bras on Sunday, July 16, in the First United Methodist Church, Princeton. The doublering ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Dr. John Kirkpatrick.The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cloin, Princeton, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Eugene Wood and the late Eugene Wood, Window.Preceding the ceremony organist Mrs. Katherine Downey played selections of classical music, and soloist Mrs. Joyce Hawkins sang Several airs.The bride, escorted down the candlelit aisle by her father, wls attired in a formal gown of white organza and silk Venice lace fashioned with a Queen Ann neckline and short butterfly sleeves. Lace accented the fitted bodice with a drape of organza over the sheer yoke. A ruffle and lace finished the hemline and swept to a Chapeltrain.Matching lace edged the organza ruffle on her picturebat with a veil of illusion and streamers in back.The bride carried a cascade of white roses, blue apple blossoms and daisies, and babies’ breath with blue and white lovers knots streaming down.In keeping with the old tradition, Cindy carried a blue and white handkerchief that her great-great aunt made; something new, a diamond necklace and earrings, gift from the groom; something borrowed, a gold pen belonging to her mother, and something blue, her blue garter.Joyce Thompson, Hazleton, was chosen as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathy Miller, Bloomfield, and Jenny Goff, Winslow, all friends of the bride. Sandy Cloin, sister of the bride, was chosen as junior bridesmaid.Ail four girls wore blue empire dotted Swiss, floor-length gowns. The sleeveless gowns were enhanced by a two tiered ridrt, and cluny lace trimmedthe square neckline and the “bib effect” bodice.The girls wore white straw hats trimmed in blue ribbon to complement their gowns. They carried nosegays of blue apple blossoms and daises, whith white roses and babies’ breath interspersed.Gary McClintic, Shelbyville served as best man. Groom smen were Mike McClintic Orleans, and Tim Hawkins Shoals, all friends of the groom Kevin Tate, cousin of the bride was chosen as junior groom sman.Alan Cloin, brother of the bride, and Steve Osborne, cousin of the bride, seated guests as they entered the church.The bride’s cousin, Miss Brandyn Tooley, served as flower girl, and Tony Wood, nephew of the groom was chosen ring bearer.For her daughter’s wedding, Mr. Cloin chose a floor-length knit dress of shrimp color. The groom’s mother selected a floor-length knit dress of beige with pink roses. Both wore matching corsages of roses and babies’ breath.Attending the guest book was Lori Tate, Princeton, cousin of the bride. Programs and rice bags were distributed by Shan-tel Tooley, cousin of the briue, Meleah Brewster and Carla Wood, nieces of the groom.Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Princeton Holiday Inn. After a buffet was served, cake and punch were served by Mrs. Sue Brewster, Winslow, sister of the groom; and Mrs. Gladys Wood, Petersburg, and Mrs. Sandi Wood, Oskaloosa, Iowa, sisters-in-law of the groom.The bride graduated from Oakland City College with a B.A. in elementary education and is employed at North Middle School in Mount Carmel. The groom also graduated from Oakland City College with a B.A. in elementary education.
