Another sister, Miss Regina Harkness, wasbridesmaid.Stephen D. Swihart, pastor of Garber Brethren Church in Ashland, married Miss Carol Harkness yesterday afternoon in First Alliance Church.The bride, an elementary vocal music teacher in the Ashland County Schools, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norval Harkness, Gratiot, and has been residing in Ashland.William Ross carried out the duties of best man. Ushering duties were performed by Terry Ray, Gary Weller and Charles Lonsinger.Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held in the social rooms of Central Methodist Church.Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swihart, Bradenton, Fla.The newlywed couple will honeymoon in Florida for two weeks and then resideOfficiating for the exchange of vows at 3 p.m. was the Rev. William Allen.The bride is a graduate of Capital University in Columbus.
