J.STRANK HAVE LARGE “IVHLITATY WEDDINGPmk and wh te peonies, ferns and palms formed a pretty background for a military wedding on Saturday June *24, in Albert Street United Cburch when, Florence Mary Hill, daughter of Mr. and and George Hill, became the bride •f Pte. John William Strank, son of Ur and Mrs. William Strunk, Rosaburn, Man. Re/. J. S. I. Wilson officiated.The brile entered the church to the strains of the wedding much, played by Mrs. It. Uokleu accompanied by her father. She looked lovely in a white gardenia satin gown with panels of lace in the yok? and neckline, tiny buttons down the back, sweetheart neckline and long sleeves coming to points over the hands. The full skirt formed a slight sweep. She wore a full length aleution veil with a coronet of white dowers lior acces-so ies were a string of peirla and a white Bibie from which fell streamers of pink roses an 1 fern.Mrs. Earl Judg* was maid of honor and she wore a pink crepe gown with matching headdress and carried a nosegay of pink roses an 1 sweatpeas, and Miss June Hill, sister of the bride was bridesm rid ,nd looked lovely in a -ea foam green gown with matching headdress aad she carried a nosegay of yellow r^sea and sweatpeas. Carrol Lynn Hill, four-year-old sister of .he oride was dower girl and wore a piuk tatletta gown with matching dutch cap an d carried a basket of iweetpeas and rose buds.Mrs. Monism sang “For You \lone” and “O Promise Me” during thj signing of th^ register.L -CpI R Whitney, Barrietield, wa* groomsman and Pte Earl Judge, Camp Borden and Gar. R. Hill, Petewawa were ushers.A ter the ceremony a reception was held at the Legion Hall where the tables were set in a “V” shape. The bride's mother received the quests in a dress of powder blue jrepe. and large brim n?d hat trim me 1 with lace and she also wore a coisuge of pink roses.Out of town guests were Mr. Vltea Forbes and Mr. Joe Wynn of .egina, Sask., and A.C.2 Lloyd larding, De-erouto.Later Pte and Mrs. Strank left m a shoit we Jding trip to the Royal Yurk Hotel, Toronto, where they spent tbe week-end, after winch the groom returned to his unit.
