July 26, in an evening ceremony in the home of Mr and Mrs Jack Furgeson of the Salem Community.The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Melvin Robinson of Benton. Mr and Mrs. Sadao Ohkubo of Tokyo, Japan are parents of the bridegroom Rev David Chandler of Benton officiated at the ceremony Nuptial music was presented byKaren Chandler of Hot Springs who accompanied Mrs Don Benedict while shesang “Amazing Grace” and “Savior. Like A Shepherd Ix*ad Us. Rev Mike Clifford of Little Rock closed the wedding ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pale yellow gown of flocked organza and she carried a Bible.Serving the couple as attendants were Mrand Mrs Dan Garnitz of Washington. D C.The bridegroom graduated from Fastern New Mexico University in Port ales this spring with a master's degree in English He has been/studying in the I Jnited States for one sear undera Rotary Club scholarship.The bride was also a student at Eastern NewMexico University.In late August the couple will bo at home in Tokyo where Ohkubo is employed by the international division of Armstrong Cork Company The bride will be employed as a librarian assistant at the Seisan InternationalSchool ReceptionAt the reception following the ceremony.refreshments were served bv Mrs Jack$Furgeson.
