Miss Russell and Miss Homan are cousins of the bride.Patricia Ellen Russell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Russell, Olathe, and James Farley Compton, son of Mr and Mrs. Farley L. Compton, Spring Hill, were joined in marriage July 27 at the First United Methodist (hurch in Olathe.The Rev. T.G. Stanfield andthe Rev. Ronald Starr officiated at the ceremony at an altar decorated witharrangements of roses, lilies,daisies, carnations and baby’s breath. Two spiral candelabra wore also featured.Special music was provided by the groom and Gary Davis, who sang “Michelees’ Song,” written by Vic Compton, the groom’s brother, and ‘‘Life Begins, Anew,” written by the groom.The bride wore a floor-length empire style gown with a yoke of cluny lace with seed pearls, featuring long lace sleeves. The skirt of dubu featured a wide lace ruffle tapering into a chapel train, and her hat was trimmed with matching lace and a bow of illusion net.The bride carried a bouquet of lilies, stephanotis, baby’s breath and miniature carnations. She was given in marriage by her father.Mrs. Douglas Perrin, Olathe, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharon Boehm, Olathe, and Barbara Roe, Mankato. They wore cream floral voileJimmy Neal Fultz, Olathe, was best man. Tim Janicke and Gary Davis, both of Spring Hill, were groomsmen.Ushers were Brian Findley, John House,and Tyler Powell, all of Spring Hill, and Darrell Fultz, Olathe.Mrs. Larry Powell, Emporia, the groom’s sister, registered guests.Fellowship hall was the scene for the wedding reception.
